Frequently Asked Questions
We understand that life transitions can be overwhelming. Here are answers to common questions about our mentoring process and what to expect.
What is the mentoring process like?
The process is highly personalized. We begin with a discovery session to understand your unique needs, goals, and the specific life transition you're navigating. From there, we develop a tailored roadmap that focuses on executive functioning, emotional wellbeing, and building your confidence.
How often do we meet?
We offer flexible scheduling to accommodate your lifestyle. Typically, sessions are held weekly or bi-weekly, depending on the intensity of the transition. We prioritize consistency and deep focus over frequency, ensuring each session is meaningful and impactful.
Is the mentoring clinical or supportive?
Our approach is warm, supportive, and professional. While we utilize evidence-based social work principles, we avoid a clinical feel. We focus on building a safe, empathetic space where you can explore your challenges and celebrate your successes in a calm environment.
Who is the mentor?
The mentor is a qualified social worker with experience both as a social worker and as an autism mentor at universities. I bring a wealth of knowledge about neurodivergent needs and life transitions, ensuring you receive expert guidance tailored to your specific context.
Can I join if I'm not a student?
Absolutely. While we started with university students, we now support professionals and young adults navigating career changes or independence. Our mentoring is accessible to anyone seeking a supportive, calm, and professional space to grow.
